Enable Inactivity Alerts

Inactivity alerts are friendly reminders to stretch your legs a bit after long periods of inactivity. Oura offers guidance through inactivity alerts to help you to get some movement at least once every hour of the day. You can reset an inactivity alert by taking a brief walk, stretching, or partaking in light activity or a workout.

Keep in mind that if you move every hour and keep your total inactivity time under 8 hours each day, you’ll see improvements to your Activity Score.

Enabling Inactivity Alerts

To enable inactivity alerts, follow the steps below.

  1. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the upper left-hand corner of the Oura home tab.
  2. Tap 'Settings'.
  3. Tap 'Notifications'
  4. Toggle the button next to 'Inactivity alerts' on.

If inactivity alerts are enabled, the toggle button will appear in blue. If your screen appears as it does in the image below, this is evidence that you’ve successfully enabled inactivity alerts.
