Currently, there is no way to delete a single day or multiple days of data but there a few options if you wish to start fresh with a new account and restart your Oura data.
Option 1: Restart with New Oura Account
The quickest way to restart your Oura account is to create a new one with a different email address.
- Ensure that you have a stable internet connection
- Place your ring on the charger for a few minutes
- Open the Oura App and wait for the latest sync
- Back up your data:
- Tap on the
menu in the upper-left corner of the home screen
- Select Settings > Back up all data
- Tap on the
- When the backup is complete, take your ring off the charger and place it on a flat surface
- Factory reset your ring
- Go to the My Oura Ring page by tapping on the
menu in the upper-left corner or the battery
icon in the upper-right corner of the home screen
- On iOS, under Tools, tap Factory reset
- On Android, swipe left > under Tools, tap Factory reset
- Go to the My Oura Ring page by tapping on the
- When the factory reset is complete, leave the ring off the charger and keep it on a flat surface without moving it for two minutes. This allows the ring to enter shipping mode or power saving mode if you're storing the ring
- In your device's Bluetooth settings, remove your Oura Ring from the list of connected devices
- Uninstall the Oura App from your phone to ensure that your old account is fully logged out
- Download and reinstall the Oura App
- Create a new account (using a different email address than the one you were previously using) and follow the in-app instructions to get connected
Option 2: Create New Account with Alias Email
The second option is to create a new account using an alias email. An alias email allows you to continue using the same email but set it up as a separate account. Instructions on setting up an alias email can be found on your email provider's website or support forums.
An example of an alias email would be "Jane.Doe+Oura@gmail.com". Note that all alias emails follow different formats from different email providers.
Option 3: Delete Account
The third option is to complete the deletion process and create a new account under your previously used email. There is currently no way of wiping the data from an account without deleting it altogether. Note that deleting your account also deletes any membership associated with that email address, including Lifetime Membership. This process is irreversible.
