If you've misplaced your Oura Ring or Oura Ring Carging Case, you can use the Locate feature in the Oura App.
This feature is rolling out starting June 4, 2026, and may not be available to all members yet.
Locate is available for:
- Oura Ring Generation 2 and later with active membership
- Oura Ring 4 Charging Case and later
- iOS
- Android
If you don’t see Locate yet, you can use the Find My Ring feature, which is available for:
- Oura Ring Generation 3 and later with active membership
- iOS
- Android
How to Use Locate
To use the Locate feature optimally, you’ll need to enable location services on your mobile phone. Location services allow you to use the map view, which provides more expansive search capabilities.
Map view shows where your Oura devices are located based on the last time they connected to your Oura App. If you enable location services after you misplace your Oura device, your device won’t appear on map view.
The Locate feature also has a nearby search view that uses Bluetooth signal strength to detect an Oura device within a room or apartment.
To use Locate:
-
Tap the
menu in the upper-left corner, then tap My Devices. Alternatively, you can tap
battery icon in the upper-right corner of the Today tab, then tap My Devices
-
Tap Locate
- If you have location services enabled, you’ll see a map view with your Oura devices
- If you don’t have location services enabled, you can try using nearby search based on Bluetooth signal strength in the next step
- Tap Search next to your Oura device to use the nearby search view. Move around with your mobile phone to get closer to the Bluetooth signal of your Oura device. Note: nearby search view best works when your phone is in the same room or apartment as your Oura device
If Locate is not working as expected, then you can check the following:
- Review your mobile device’s settings to ensure location services are enabled for the Oura App. If you didn't enable location services when using Locate, then the Oura App may not be able to provide a last known location for when your device was connected to your Oura device
- Review your device's settings to ensure it is not running in low battery mode. The Locate feature will not work if your phone is low on battery
- If your misplaced device has run out of battery and is turned off, then nearby search based on Bluetooth signal won’t work
How to Use Find My Ring
You'll have to enable Location Services on your device for the Find My Ring feature to work. You can access the feature by:
- Tapping the home card that appears on the Oura App if your device doesn't connect to your Oura Ring, or
- Go to the My Devices page by tapping either the
menu in the upper-left corner, or the battery
icon in the upper-right corner of the Today tab
- Tap Show latest location
The latest location of when your device was connected to your Oura Ring will appear. The location that is shown may not be the current location of your Oura Ring.
If no location appears, then you can try the following:
- Review your device's settings to ensure it is not running in low battery mode. The Find My Ring feature will not work if your phone is low on battery
- Review your device's settings to ensure Location Services is enabled for the Oura App. If you didn't enable Location Services when using Find My Ring, then the Oura App may not be able to provide a last known location for when your device was connected to your Oura Ring
