Get Started with the Oura App
The Oura app lets you harness the potential of your Oura Ring by helping you interpret all of the health data the ring monitors. The following steps will show you how to set up your Oura app.

To get started, you'll need to download the Oura app from the App Store. Make sure you have an Apple ID already set up. Tap App Store.

Tap Search.

Tap Games, Apps, Stories, and More and type Oura. Then, tap the search button on your keyboard.

Find the Oura app in the list, and tap Get to download the app. You may have to enter your Apple ID credentials to download the app or scan your fingerprint/Face ID if you have these security steps set up.

Before setting up Oura, ensure your device's Bluetooth is turned on. Then tap Open to access the Oura app.

If you have an Oura account already set up, tap Sign in, and follow the on-screen instructions. If you're a first time user, tap Create account and go to the next step.

Read and accept Oura's terms and conditions by enabling the first option. If you'd like to receive news, offers and usage tips from Oura, enable the second option as well. Then, tap I've read and accept the terms.

Tap Email and enter your email address. Tap Password and enter a password for your Oura account. Then, tap Create account.

Verify your email address is correct, and tap Continue.

Tap Continue to start pairing the app with your Oura Ring.

Tap OK to allow the Oura app to use Bluetooth.

Your device will search for Oura Rings nearby. Under Rings near you, tap on your ring.

Tap Pair to allow Bluetooth pairing.

To enable notifications, tap Allow notifications. Oura will send notifications to remind you of your activity progress, battery level, and inactivity. Other notifications like Bedtime notifications will remind you when it's time to start preparing for bed.

With Oura, you have the option to link your Oura app to Apple Health. This way, key metrics recorded by Oura will also be visible in Apple Health. Tap on an option, in this case, Connect to Health.

Turn on the categories you want to sync, then tap Allow in the upper right-hand corner. You can scroll down to view more categories and tap Turn All Categories On to sync every data type.

To enable workout and activity imports from Apple Health, tap Allow workout imports.

Enable Workouts, then tap Allow in the upper right-hand corner.

Enter your Date of birth, Height, Weight and Gender. Tap on your desired measurement system under Units, then tap Done.

If you are new to Oura, take a moment to answer some questions so Oura can personalize your experience. Tap Continue.

Tap on the option that applies to you, then tap Continue. Repeat this step for the next two questions.

Your Oura app is now set up. On the first day, you'll see your Activity data. Oura measures your resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and body temperature while you sleep, therefore you must wait until you've woken up the following day to see this data.
