Return & Exchange Processes

What’s Oura's return policy?

Our mission is to ensure that each and every member of our Oura Community is fully satisfied with their experience, so for whatever reason, you may return your fully functional and undamaged Oura Ring within 30 days of receiving your original order (i.e., on the date of delivery) for a refund or exchange. Shipping and handling charges, including UK VAT or other customs fees, are not refundable. Original orders are limited to one change in ring size or color. This means you can return your original ring once for a refund, or exchange it once for a size or color change.

How do I return or exchange my ring?

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to start a return or exchange.

If you purchased a charger separately and would like to return or exchange it to match a different ring size—keep in mind that charger returns and exchanges follow the same protocol as Oura Rings. You can follow the same steps shared above.

Can I return or exchange my ring after I’ve already exchanged it once?

According to Oura’s return policy, we allow only one return or exchange per original order. This means you can return your original ring once for a refund, or exchange it once for a size or color change in the same price range.

Size, style, and color changes cannot be made after one exchange has already been completed. A return for refund after an exchange has already been completed is also not possible.

Can I still return my ring if I no longer have the original white box it arrived in?

You can use any other suitable packaging to return your ring set—as long as the device is properly protected and kept secure while in transit.

Can I exchange my ring for one in a different price range?

A direct exchange for a model, style, or color in a different price range is not possible. In this case, you’ll need to return your ring for a refund, then proceed with a new purchase. Steps outlined in "How do I return or exchange my ring?" above can guide you in how to start a return.

Can you send me a new ring before returning my current ring?

According to Oura’s return policy, we must receive your original ring before we can place a new order. We cannot hold deposits on credit cards either. If you prefer to not go through this process, you can purchase a new ring on our website, then return your original ring for a refund. Please note, shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

If you’re upgrading from an Oura Ring Generation 2 to an Oura Ring Generation 3, you’ll receive instructions from our team via email on how to properly return your old ring. If you happened to miss this outreach from us, no worries—you can get in touch with one of our team members here for specific instructions.

Can you send a sizing kit before I decide which size I'd like to exchange my ring for?

With the purchase of an Oura Ring, you’ll be sent a complimentary sizing kit to help you find your best fit. If due to some error you did not receive a sizing kit as part of your original purchase, please send us a message here.

Can you send a new or replacement ring to a different address/recipient?

Yes, we can send an exchange ring to a different address as long as it's within the same country.

If you’re looking to send an exchange ring to a different country, you’ll need to return the original ring and place a new order. Steps outlined beneath "How do I return or exchange my ring?" above can guide you in how to get started. 

If you purchased an Oura Ring Generation 2 anytime between April 21st, 2021 and October 26th, 2021 and would like to upgrade to an Oura Ring Generation 3—however, notice that we no longer ship to your country of residence due to changes in materials used to assemble our newest ring model, we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Our team is working hard to gain import approval for Generation 3 in an expanded list of countries, so we can support shipment to your country of residence in the near future. You can keep an eye on the most up-to-date list of countries we currently ship to by following this article.

Can I still return my ring for a refund or exchange if I don’t have the original order number (e.g., received as a gift)?

If we can't locate your order number, we won’t be able to process your request for return or exchange. To track down your order number, you can log in to your My Account portal located in the footer of ouraring.com, or trace back to the order confirmation email sent your way immediately after purchasing or receiving Oura as a gift. 

If you still aren’t able to find it, you can reach out to our team here. To help us to identify your order number, you can share the email address used to place your original order, current ring model, and size. Your ring model and size are shared in your Oura App. On the Home tab, tap the ring icon in the upper right-hand corner. Next, swipe from right to left to see your ring model and size listed.

If this was a gift, the email address may belong to the person who placed the order on your behalf.

If you’d like to return a gifted ring, please note we can only credit the original payment method.


Tracking

Why does Oura need me to provide my tracking number?

The tracking number helps us to follow up on the delivery status and to expedite the completion of your refund or exchange.

What if I don’t have a tracking number?

We highly recommend that when returning your Oura Ring, you purchase tracking services for your protection and to save the shipping receipt for your records. Your return can’t be processed until it’s been received and checked in at our facilities. In case your return happens to get lost or delayed in transit, having tracking services on your package can help mitigate this scenario. 

If you don’t have a tracking number to share with our team, we’ll still be able to process your return once it’s been received and checked in; however, it may take slightly longer to receive your full refund as a result.


Refunds & Payment

How long does it take for a return or exchange to be processed?

Once your item has been received, it will take our team between 5-10 days to process your return for a full refund, or issue an exchange. You’ll receive a confirmation email from us once full processing is complete.

Can you hold deposits on credit cards?

Unfortunately, we can't hold deposits on credit cards.

Do I need to pay for an exchange ring shipment?

If you’re exchanging your ring, a new ring will be shipped to you free of charge.

Can you issue a refund to a different card or bank account?

All returns will be credited to the original method of payment. We can't send a refund to another card or bank account.

What if I don’t see a refund transaction on my account?

Please allow a few business days for the refund to show up on the account you made your purchase with. We also recommend checking in on the refund with your bank. You can reach out to our team if you’re unable to identify a refund transaction within a week of receiving your confirmation email from us.

I lost the charger/ring, can I return the remaining item for a refund?

If the order was placed for a ring set (Oura Ring + charger), we aren’t able to accept a partial return, or issue a partial refund from a full set order. Keep in mind, all Oura Rings purchased from our website come as a full ring set. 

However, if you decide to continue using your ring, you can purchase additional chargers directly from our website.
