Factory resets may be useful for troubleshooting issues, transferring your Oura devices to a new user, or storing them for a period of time.
Oura Ring
Performing a factory reset will erase data stored on the ring itself, but any data synced to your Oura account or Oura on the Web will not be affected.
If you plan to use the ring again after the reset (for example, after troubleshooting), you'll need to pair it to your device again.
To perform a factory reset on an Oura Ring:
- Ensure that you have a stable internet connection
- Place your ring on the charger for a few minutes

- In your device's Bluetooth settings, remove your Oura Ring from the list of connected devices
Once you've completed the ring factory reset, your Oura App will display a "Connect your Oura Ring" message, indicating that the process is complete and your ring is now cleared of all previous data.
To re-sync your personal account data with your ring, tap Continue. To sync your data to a new ring, follow these instructions to set up a replacement ring.
