What are Health Panels?
Health Panels lets you schedule a lab test, track 50 blood biomarkers, and view your results directly in the Oura App.
Through a partnership with Quest Diagnostics and SteadyMD, Health Panels connects lab data with your Oura insights to give you a more complete picture of your health. You can use your ZIP code to book an appointment at one of 2,000+ participating lab locations across the US.
Once your results are ready, they appear in the Oura App, helping you spot patterns and explore how lifestyle and daily habits might relate to underlying health trends.
You’ll also see educational, personalized insights based on your results, and you can share your report with your healthcare provider.
How to Purchase and Schedule a Lab Test
You can purchase a lab test and book your appointment directly in the Oura App.
Tap on the menu, then choose Health Panels. You’ll be guided through a short booking flow to enter your information, search for a nearby lab, and confirm your appointment.
You can pay for Health Panels with a credit card or PayPal during checkout. Lab tests are HSA/FSA eligible, though eligibility may vary depending on your provider or employer, so it’s best to confirm with them before purchasing.
Current Oura Ring discounts (such as through partners or Refer a Friend) are not valid for Health Panels.
Appointments
Appointment availability is shown in real time, so what you see reflects current openings. You can book up to 120 days in advance, and all times are shown in your local time zone.
When scheduling, you’ll enter required booking details that must match your government-issued ID. This helps ensure the lab can verify your appointment and process your results correctly. You’ll be asked for:
- First and last name
- Address, city, state, ZIP code
- US phone number
- Date of birth, weight, height, and sex assigned at birth
During booking, you’ll also need to agree to a HIPAA Data Sharing Consent and a Telehealth Consent for care provided by SteadyMD. These are both required to complete your purchase.
Due to state-specific medical and laboratory regulations, biomarker testing is not currently available in Arizona, New Jersey, New York, or Rhode Island. If you can’t find a nearby lab and you’re not in a restricted state, try searching with a ZIP code for a nearby city and refresh the search. See all Quest Diagnostics locations by state here.
Confirmation and Appointment Details
Once your appointment is booked and your purchase is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email at the address linked to your Oura account. You can also view your appointment details in the Oura App.
Appointment slots update in real time and may occasionally be taken by another member while you're booking. If that happens, try refreshing to find new times.
All appointment reminders come from Oura. Quest does not send separate reminders.
Rescheduling and Cancellations
You can cancel up to the same day of your appointment in the Oura App.
- Before testing: If you cancel your order before testing, a $5 non-refundable fee will apply and the balance will be refunded
- After testing: Once your test has been performed, your order can no longer be canceled.
- Invalid test results: If any test results are invalid, you will be invited to retest at no additional cost. If you do not want to retest, a full refund will be available. Refunds will be processed in 5–10 business days and go back to your original payment method.
Missed Appointments
If you miss your scheduled time and didn’t cancel in advance, you can either cancel the test for a refund minus the $5 non-refundable fee, or visit the lab as a walk-in within one year of your purchase. There’s no option to reschedule a missed appointment through the Oura App.
To do a walk-in:
You can visit any Quest Diagnostics location within one year of your purchase date. You won’t be charged again. Wait times vary by location and how busy the lab is that day. We recommend arriving a few minutes early and planning extra time.
- Arrive early. Wait times vary by location and how busy the lab is that day. We recommend arriving a few minutes early and planning extra time
- Bring a photo ID. The name on your ID must match the name used when you placed the order
- At the location, check in at the Quest kiosk. Your order can usually be found by your name and date of birth (DOB)
- In the appointment screen, you can view and download the lab order PDF in the app (in case it's needed)
- Note: you must be on Oura App version 7.3.0 or higher to view it
What to Expect on Appointment Day
For the most reliable results, we recommend fasting for at least eight hours before your appointment, drinking water, and avoiding caffeine if possible.
Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID to your appointment. Arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time at your chosen Quest Diagnostics location and check in using the tablet at the front desk. If you don’t see your appointment listed, or arrive more than 10 minutes late, you’ll be prompted to either join the walk-in queue or reschedule directly on the tablet.
When to Expect Your Lab Results
Once available, your lab results will appear in the My Health tab of the Oura App. Some results may arrive sooner than others, depending on the lab’s processing times.
Most results are ready within 2–10 business days, with an average turnaround of 3–5 days. Processing times may vary. In some cases, delays may happen, especially if there are mismatches in your personal details, high lab volume, or technical issues.
If you haven’t received any results after 10 business days, contact our team so we can investigate.
Viewing Your Health Panel Results
Once your results are available, you can find them in the Oura App under:
- My Health tab
- The
menu > Health Panels
Your results will show which biomarkers you have in range, out of range, or in a critical range.
Biomarker ranges are based on broad population averages and do not take into account individual variances such as biological variations, lifestyle, and other factors. If you have questions or concerns about your results, we recommend reviewing them with your healthcare provider.
You will also see personalized, AI-powered insights related to your biomarker results. These insights are for educational purposes only and not a substitute for medical advice. You can also download a shareable Health Panel report to review with your healthcare provider.
In the unlikely event of invalid lab results, you can request a refund or schedule a re-test at no additional cost.
