An Introduction to Oura
If you are new to Oura or would like to discover how it can help you keep track of your health, find a walk-through of several key Oura features below.

Open the Oura app.

Upon opening the app, you'll see the Home tab. The Home tab is a dynamic screen that adjusts the cards you see according to the time of day. The main cards you'll see here show your Readiness Score, Sleep Score, and Activity goal progress.

Tap on the icon in the bottom right-hand corner to Add a workout, Take a moment or Add a tag. Go to the menu
icon in the upper left-hand corner to access your profile, view Trends, enable Rest Mode, adjust Settings, or access Help. Tap on the ring
icon in the upper right-hand corner to check the battery level of your Oura Ring and Firmware version.

Tap on the Readiness tab at the bottom of the screen. Readiness is an overall measure of your recovery that signals your capacity to perform at your mental, emotional, and physical best. On this tab, you'll find a detailed view of your Readiness contributors, Heart rate variability, Resting heart rate, and any Restful periods you've had during the day.

Scroll down on the Readiness tab. Under your Readiness contributors, you'll see the metrics that are used to calculate your Readiness Score. Tap on a contributor to learn more. In this example, we'll tap Resting heart rate.

For each contributor, you'll find a detailed explanation. If the bar at the top is cyan, the metric is within optimal levels. If the bar is orange, you should consider taking action to improve it.

Tap on the icons at the bottom to scroll through the various contributors. Tap on the
icon to close the detailed view.

Tap on the Sleep tab at the bottom of the screen. Your Sleep Score provides you with a holistic perspective of how well you're sleeping on a daily basis.

Scroll down on the Sleep tab. Under Sleep contributors, you'll see the metrics that are used to calculate your Sleep Score. Tap on a contributor for a detailed explanation.

Tap on the Activity tab at the bottom of the screen. Your Activity Score is measured using your daily activity, step count, training frequency, and training volume, among other metrics. These metrics are measured by the 3D accelerometer in your Oura Ring.

Scroll down on the Activity tab. Under Activity contributors, you'll see the metrics that are used to calculate your Activity Score. Tap on a contributor for a detailed explanation. On the Activity tab, you'll also find a detailed view of your Daily movement, along with a list of the Workouts you've completed that day.
