- While Oura can help you detect changes in your sleep, recovery, and activity data, you should always take a holistic view on your overall health. Oura's insights are suggestions based upon your data, and shouldn’t be substituted for medical advice. Always use your own judgment when making your daily choices!

- If you're feeling unwell or have any health concerns, please consult your doctor and follow the instructions of your local healthcare authorities.

New Battery Level Notification Badge

- From now on, if you have ring charging reminders enabled, you'll see a notification badge when it's time to charge your ring.

- What is the UCSF TemPredict study? University of California San Francisco Health and Oura are teaming up to study whether Oura can provide signals that help predict symptoms of illnesses like COVID-19 in the future. Oura is inviting all users to join the study, participation is voluntary.

- You can now start gaining even more insight into your recovery through HRV balance, Oura’s new readiness contributor that measures your 2-week HRV trend.

- HRV balance helps you understand how well you’ve recovered from strain and stressors. You should see the first contributor values within a day or two.

- We’ve refreshed the + menu in Home and updated the names of activities: From now on, notes are tags, and physical activities are workouts.

- New firmware 2.5.1 which fixes a couple of bugs and makes battery level reporting more accurate.

- There are now guided sessions available for mindful meditation and restful breathing in Moment, provided by the nice people of Oak!

- We’ve updated the design, and re-categorized different session types. They’re now Presence for meditation, Rest for naps and winding down, and Body status for other on-demand HR and HRV measurements.

- Bedtime guidance

- Introducing improved bedtime guidance! We’ve added new visuals, insights and notifications to help you find and maintain your ideal bedtime window. You’ll find new content by tapping the bedtime card in the home view.

- Weekly report

- The new weekly report shows your readiness, sleep and activity data highlights for the past week. You’ll see your weekly report in the home view on the first day of your week.

You’ll see the weekly report if there’s sleep data from the previous night, and you’ve worn the Oura ring for more than two weeks.

Activity Updates

- We’ve added new notifications that keep you updated on your activity goal progress during the day

- The app now remembers the latest duration for each manually added workout type, so you don’t need to reset it again if it doesn’t change

What's New

- We're excited to launch Moment, Oura's brand new feature that helps you see how meditation, breathing exercises, and relaxation affect your body. With Moment, you can track your resting heart rate and HRV on demand, and create time in your day to recharge and re-energize. To take your first Moment, tap the + button in the home view.

- Firmware version 1.19.1 includes our fine-tuned HRV algorithm, which allows us to better capture exceptionally high HRV readings (over 150 ms). Users who have previously spotted gaps in their HRV graphs should now see more solid curves. As a result of improved data quality, you may also see a maximum 5 point increase in HRV numbers around 10-40 ms.

What’s New

- Updated insights. We’ve introduced a bunch of new sleep, readiness and activity insights, which you can read by tapping the timeline items in the home view.

- Bedtime editing. We’ve added a new feature which allows you to adjust your bedtime and wake-up time from now on, if you ever need to. You’ll find it in the sleep view, above your sleep stages.

- Sleep contributor update. The sleep contributor previously known as Tranquility is now called Restfulness. From now on, you’ll see if the overall restfulness of your sleep is optimal, good, or if it needs attention.*

- Many of you liked the old body temperature trend graph better, so we went ahead and changed it back to how it used to be. The 30 day view shows daily temperature changes around your baseline, and the Trend view is optimized to reveal monthly fluctuations.

Introducing the New Oura App

- We’ve redesigned the Oura app to make it even better and more personal. You can now see your most important daily insights on the new main view timeline. Just tap them when you want to dive deeper.

- Oura now calculates your optimal bedtime window to help you follow your natural circadian rhythm. Your optimal bedtime is based on your own long-term data, and it’s shown after the ring has collected data for a couple of weeks.

- Your night-time heart rate variability curve and average respiratory rate are now visible in the readiness view, drawing an even more detailed picture of your recovery. 

- Daily insights are now shareable! Just tap sleep, readiness or activity moment on your timeline, and hit the share button to tell your friends how you’re doing. Fun, fast and easy.

- Automatically detected restful moments, such as naps, are now visible on your timeline. Manually added activities will appear there too.

- Notes and tags are here! Add them to your timeline and keep track of what you’ve been up to.

- You can now easily track daily, weekly and monthly changes and trends in relation to your own average values. Access the Trends view through the main menu or by tapping the numbers and scores in the detail views.
