Android App Updates

This article lists the latest changes to the Oura app for Android. You can download the latest version on Google Play. You need Android 6.0 or higher to use the app.

Note: If you have the first Oura ring, you can back up your data in the app settings before updating the app.

  • - With Moment, you can measure your resting heart rate and HRV on demand, and see how meditation, breathing exercises and relaxation affect your body.
  • - Choose a guided session for mindful meditation or restful breathing, or pick a soundscape for your own moment of presence or rest.
  • - To take your first session, download Moment, and tap the + button in the home view.

What’s new

Introducing the updated home view & navigation

  • - The new tab bar lets you see and switch between your readiness, sleep and activity details with a single tap.

Known Issues

  • - There have been some reported cases where sleep data hasn't been visible in the app in the morning. We're in the process of fixing this issue, but closing the app and opening it again helps. 
  • - If you experience Bluetooth connectivity problems, switching Bluetooth off and on in your phone settings helps. In some rare cases you may need to restart your phone.

Known issues

Some users with the first Oura ring have reported connectivity problems after the app update, due to the ring going into restricted mode.
