Android App Updates

This article lists the latest updates for the Oura app on Android. You can download the latest version on Google Play

Note that when a new version of the Oura app is introduced, you’ll also be able to update the firmware on your Oura Ring. Please see our article on Software and Firmware Updates for step-by-step instructions on how to update both your Oura app (software) and Oura Ring firmware.

- Your daily readiness messaging will now highlight your recovery status through HRV Balance insights. These messages will be prompted to you if your recovery status or HRV Balance is low, getting better, or already optimal. 

- We have implemented minor design improvements here and there.

What's New:

- Oura is now available in Japanese. Going forward, Oura guides you in Japanese if your device language is set to Japanese.

- There are 25 new workouts, including HIIT, stair exercises, mountain biking, and more, all under the + button in the Home tab.

What's New:

- Introducing the new Rest Mode feature. If you feel a bit under the weather or you need to slow down, the new Rest Mode helps you concentrate on recovery.
- In Rest Mode, your activity goals and metrics are paused, and your daily insights remind you to take it easy.
- You can switch to Rest Mode whenever needed in the app main menu. You may also see a contextual Rest Mode suggestion if your body temperature is elevated, which can be a sign of strain.

Now’s the moment for Moment on Android!

- With Moment, you can measure your resting heart rate and HRV on demand, and see how meditation, breathing exercises and relaxation affect your body.

- Choose a guided session for mindful meditation or restful breathing, or pick a soundscape for your own moment of presence or rest.

- To take your first session, download Moment, and tap the + button in the home view.

Known Issues

- There have been some reported cases where sleep data hasn't been visible in the app in the morning. We're in the process of fixing this issue, but closing the app and opening it again helps. 

- If you experience Bluetooth connectivity problems, switching Bluetooth off and on in your phone settings helps. In some rare cases you may need to restart your phone.
