Active Calorie Burn and Total Burn

Active calorie burn and total burn are distinctly different. The difference between the two is explained below.

Active calorie burn is an estimate of your calorie burn during the day. It captures the calories you've burned while walking, training, or partaking in other physical activities. Tracking your active calorie burn can help you balance your activity output and calorie intake. This balance is key to recovering successfully and maintaining a healthy weight.

Total burn, on the other hand, is the total number of calories you burn in a day. This is comprised of what it takes to sustain your body (your Basal Metabolic Rate or BMR) and any calories on top of that (active calories burned) that result from movement like walking or jogging.
