What Is Eligible?
Oura Products
Most items available on the Oura online store, including taxes and shipping, can be purchased with HSA or FSA funds. However, the two-year and three-year Extend Protection Plans are not eligible.
Oura Membership
If you're purchasing a new Oura Ring, you can add a prepaid Oura Membership to your order and pay for it using your HSA or FSA card.
For ongoing membership payments (monthly or annual), you can:
- Add your HSA or FSA card as a payment method in the Membership Hub, or
- Pay with another method and submit invoices for reimbursement
Invoices for recurring charges can be downloaded directly from the Membership Hub.
Ways to Use HSA or FSA Funds
There are few ways to use your HSA or FSA funds to pay for eligible Oura purchases.
Use an HSA or FSA Card at Checkout
You can place an order on the Oura online store using your HSA or FSA card, just like a regular credit or debit card.
- Select HSA/FSA Cards as your payment method during checkout
- Make sure your cart contains only eligible products. Ineligible items like Extend Protection Plans will need to be removed
- Double-check that your available balance is enough to cover the full amount, including shipping and taxes
- Contact your HSA or FSA provider for any card or balance questions
Pay Out of Pocket and Submit for Reimbursement
If you're unable to use your HSA or FSA card at checkout, you can pay with a credit card or PayPal, then submit a reimbursement claim to your provider.
Authorized Retailers
Some authorized retailers may allow you to buy Oura products using your HSA or FSA card. Eligibility can vary, so check with the retailer before purchasing. To request reimbursement for retail purchases, obtain a receipt directly from the retailer.
How to Submit for Reimbursement
If you paid out of pocket for an eligible Oura product or membership, you can submit a claim for reimbursement through your HSA or FSA provider.
Before getting started, check with your provider to make sure your purchase qualifies and what documentation is required for approval.
For FSA accounts, purchases must usually be made within your current plan year. Some plans may offer a grace period that extends beyond the plan year. For questions about your plan’s rules or help filing a claim, contact your HSA or FSA provider.
1. Gather Your Documentation
Depending on your provider, you may need one or more of the following:
-
Receipts or invoices for Oura products
- Use your order confirmation from the Oura online store. Look for an email from orders@ouraring.com or support@sikahealth.com. If you can't locate your order confirmation, contact our Member Care team
-
Receipts or invoices for Oura Membership
- You can download your invoices from Membership Hub
-
Letters of Medical Necessity (if required)
- Some providers may ask for a letter from a healthcare professional explaining how the Oura product supports a specific health need. Check with your provider to see if this applies to you
2. Submit Your Claim
- Go to your HSA or FSA provider’s website and log in to your account
- Complete the claim form with your expense details
- Upload your order confirmation and/or membership invoice(s) as proof of purchase
Order and Payment Issues
Problems Using an HSA or FSA Card
In some cases, HSA or FSA transactions may be declined, even if your account appears to have sufficient funds. If you're unsure of your balance or your payment doesn’t go through at checkout, you can complete your purchase using a credit card or PayPal and submit a reimbursement claim to your provider.
Insufficient Funds
The Oura online store does not support split payments between an HSA/FSA card and a secondary payment method. Your HSA or FSA card must be able to cover the full amount of your order, including taxes and shipping.
Gifting with HSA or FSA Funds
Under US federal law, HSA and FSA funds can only be used to purchase products for the account holder or their eligible dependents. Gift recipients cannot submit a reimbursement claim for Oura products purchased by someone else.
Returns, Exchanges, and Cancellations
Returning or Exchanging a Product
To return an Oura product purchased with HSA or FSA funds for a refund or exchange, contact our Member Care team.
Stelo Glucose Biosensors are currently available for purchase only in the US. As medical devices, they follow stricter guidelines and cannot be returned.
If your return falls within our return and exchange policy, your payment will be refunded to the original HSA or FSA card within a few business days after we receive the product.
Due to tax regulations, refunds must go back to the original HSA or FSA account. Only open and active HSA or FSA accounts are eligible for refunds.
Cancelling an Order
Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days. If your order hasn’t shipped yet, our team can help cancel it and issue a refund to the original HSA or FSA card.
If your order has already shipped, you’ll need to wait for it to arrive and follow the return process above.
You can contact our Member Care Team here.
