What is SoftBank?
SoftBank is a mobile company in Japan that provides mobile services, broadband services, and electricity services to individual customers in Japan. SoftBank procures mobile devices from mobile device manufacturers and sells the mobile devices to distributors operating SoftBank shops, etc. and individual customers. Starting April 20, 2023, customers will be able to purchase the Oura Ring Gen3 at SoftBank stores and online, as well as at authorized SoftBank retailers.
*Prior to April 2023, select SoftBank stores were selling Horizon rings with a 12-month membership included. This bundle is no longer available.
What SoftBank stores will have the Oura Ring?
Gen3 rings will be available for purchase in SoftBank stores across Japan, through SoftBank online, and at authorized SoftBank retailers, including Yodobashi & Bic Camera.
If I already have a Gen3 ring, can I purchase another one through an official retailer?
Yes, but only new Gen3 members will receive the one month of membership included.
How much is the Oura Membership in Japan?
Pricing for new members in Japan who activate their membership during or after April 2023 is ¥999 per month, inclusive of tax. You can manage your membership through My Account.
Can I use any discounts on the Oura Ring with an official retailer?
No, any Oura Ring discounts and promotions are not valid at official retailers or SoftBank online.
Can I return or exchange a ring purchased through official retailers?
All rings bought at SoftBank retail stores or online, or from other official retailers must be returned and exchanged through the official retailer directly. If you decide to return your ring for a refund, you must also cancel your membership through My Account, otherwise, you will continue to be charged the monthly membership fee.
Is there a warranty included in the Oura Ring purchase through official retailers?
Yes, there is a one-year warranty included with purchase. For warranty requests, members must provide a photo of the receipt from the official retailer where the ring was bought. The retailer name, purchase date, receipt number, and item "Oura Ring" must be clearly visible on the receipt.
